The increasing focus on sustainability has pushed companies to find alternative solutions for the recovery of natural resources. Since the 1980s, PAL has been engaged in technological research for cleaning recycled wood. In Portugal, PAL Green Division designed and built in 2018 a waterfall cleaning tower that integrates state-of-the-art technological and innovative machinery in a small area.

The system is able to process 40 t/h of recycled wood for chipboard production. The plant is equipped with two Cyclops for the cleaning of ferrous, non-ferrous and heavy pollutants, one operating in the micro and one in the macro fraction, in addition to the use of technology for cleaning the fine fraction. These are optical solters with very high efficiency and continuous operation for the removal of any pollutants such as plastics, metals and aggregates.

A second plant was also developed in Portugal, which includes our Tiger machine, used to grind bulky material. This is the 210-90 model, capable of grinding up to 80 t/h of bulky recy wood. Pal took care of the supply, installation and start-up of the plant using Stepper Screen technology.
